Ingredients:
4-5 lbs beef brisket
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 cups beef broth
BBQ sauce (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325°F.
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Rub the spice mixture onto the beef brisket.
Place the brisket in a roasting pan and pour beef broth over it.
Cover the pan with foil and bake for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is tender.
Remove the foil and baste the brisket with the pan juices.
Return the brisket to the oven and bake, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes.
Let the brisket rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
Serve with BBQ sauce, if desired. Enjoy!
